Augmentation. A means to an end. Some people would modify their bodies so that they could work at their jobs, others simply because it was an ‘expression of the pinnacle of human ingenuity’. It was discussed on the forums how in the past we used to tattoo our bodies, use ink injected into the skin to express ourselves with an artistic image; now we augment our chips to expand the possibilities of our minds. Like art we are looking for the next progressive form of expression, and the community that was formed on the Plateau was exactly that. Instead of images and words to express ideas, information, or document our culture and world, we now use electrical signals. What is more pure, than energy itself.
